Military Aircraft Camouflage and Markings

The history of military camouflage and markings is a rich subject, with much lively debate among historians and modelers. There are many "experts" in the field, with wildly diverging opinions on the subject. Herein we add our two cents, at the same time explaining some of the pitfalls and problems inherent in any attempt codifying practices of military powers, espeially in times of conflict.
